  1. Using the MovieCD Remote Control - Version 4.03
  2. ===============================================
  3. The Motion Pixels MovieCD Player automatically loads a
  4. configuration on the Windows desktop.  The following is a description
  5. of the virtual remote control and its related functions.  Please note
  6. that specific Remote Control functions, such as rewind, fast-forward,
  7. slow-motion, and frame advance only work with the windowed video.
  8. Most functions have related hotkeys.  Please consult the Hotkey Section
  9. of this documentation for more information about hotkey functions.
  10.  
  11. Play (CTRL+P) - Plays the windowed video forward at normal speed.     
  12.  
  13. Stop (ESC) - Halts current windowed video playback.  A single video
  14.              frame will appear in the window.    
  15.  
  16. Rewind (CTRL+<--) - Plays the windowed video backwards. Video rewind
  17.                     speed and audio mute can be selected via the
  18.                     Options menu.    
  19.  
  20. Fast Forward (CTRL+-->) - Plays the windowed video forward as fast
  21.                           as possible without skipping frames.  Video
  22.                           fast-forward speed can be accessed through
  23.                           the Options menu.  Audio mute is also
  24.                           available.
  25.  
  26. Minus One Frame (<--) - This button reverses the video still image one
  27.                         frame at a time.    
  28.  
  29. Plus One Frame (-->) - Advances the video still image one frame at a
  30.                        time.
  31.  
  32. Slow Motion (CTRL+S) - Plays the video forward at 1/4 normal speed.
  33.                        Audio can be disabled from the Options menu.    
  34.  
  35. Go To (CTRL+G) -  The Go To function allows the user to type in a time
  36.                   in hours, minutes and seconds up to the total length
  37.                   of the movie. The video will advance to the choosen
  38.                   time.  Click on "Ok" to continue.
  39.  
  40. Replay (CTRL+R ) - This option features an automatic looping function
  41.                    with user-definable start and end points.  Works
  42.                    with either the windowed or fullscreen video modes.

  46. Options - The Options menu contains several different options for
  47.           video playback.  Click any of the checkboxes to select the
  48.           desired option.    
  49.  
  50. The "Rewind/Fast Forward" speed can be adjusted to play as fast as
  51. possible without skipping frames. The other speed options are ratios
  52. of normal playback speed.
  53.  
  54. Check the "Mute Audio During REW/FF" to silence the audio during
  55. fast-forward or rewind.  Also, check the Mute audio to silence the
  56. audio during slow-motion.  Audio mute is automatically enabled when
  57. "As Fast As Possible Without Skipping Frames" is selected.
  58.  
  59. "Replay (loop) Video" constantly loops the video from beginning to
  60. end.
  61.  
  62. "Always On Top" keeps the video window overlay over other applications.
  63.  
  64. "Boost Priority" allocates most of the system resources to video
  65. playback when other applications are open.  Please note that the Remote
  66. Control may not immediately respond to user input with this option
  67. enabled.

  70. Power (ALT+F4) - This closes the video window and the Remote Control
  71.                  application.

  73. Min/Max (CTRL+M) - Displays the video window and the Remote Control on
  74.                    top of the existing Windows desktop.  Clicking this
  75.                    button will toggle between this mode and hiding the
  76.                    desktop.  Only the video window and Remote Control
  77.                    are visible.

  79. Full Screen(CTRL+F) - Plays the video fullscreen according to the
  80.                       specified playback style selected. See the
  81.                       Playback Style dialog box for more information.

  83. Playback Style (CTRL+L) - Motion Pixels offers up to 13 different
  84.                           resizing options for video playback in a
  85.                           window or fullscreen.  5 screen resolutions
  86.                           are also available as well as video chipset
  87.                           detection.  Please consult the "Using Aware"
  88.                           documentation for more information about
  89.                           Motion Pixels resizing techniques.

  91. Other Functions
  92. ===============
  93. Hide Remote Control (CTRL+H) - Right-click while the mouse cursor is
  94.                                over the Remote Control.  To restore
  95.                                the Remote Control, right-click on the
  96.                                video window.

  98. Minimize All Applications (SPACEBAR) - Press the SPACEBAR while the
  99.                                        video window is active will
  100.                                        reduce the Remote Control and
  101.                                        Video Window to icons.  Video
  102.                                        playback will halt.  To restore,
  103.                                        double-click with left mouse
  104.                                        button on the video icon.
  105.  
  106. Hardware Scaling - Enabling this option allows the video window to be
  107.                    "stretched" or reduced to any size on the windows
  108.                    desktop.  To restore the original video window size,
  109.                    uncheck the Use Hardware Scaling option.
  110.  
  111. Progress Bar - The gray bar above the Play and Stop buttons on the
  112.                Remote Control changes to a red indicator as the video
  113.                time advances.  This indicates the total length of the
  114.                video files, even if they span more than one CD-ROM.
  115.  
  116. LED Display - The abbreviated video title is displayed as well as the
  117.               current time in hours, minutes, and seconds.
  118.  
  119. The Remote Control may display a sequence of track numbers. Clicking
  120. on any of these will advance the video to a pre-programmed track
  121. segment.  The Hours:Minutes:Seconds display will also change.  This
  122. function operates if the windowed video is playing or not.

  124. Jump To Track (CTRL+K) - Hold down CTRL+ K to bring up the Track
  125.                          Selection dialog box.  Select the desired
  126.                          Track Name, then click "OK", the video will
  127.                          advance to the marked track selection.
  128.  
  129. Previous Track (CTRL+PgUp) - Regresses to the video segment prior to
  130.                              the currently marked track number.
  131.  
  132. Next Track (CTRL+PgDn) - Advances to the next video segment in front
  133.                          of the currently marked track number.
